Professional use and accounts

CBN is a professional network for customs and related business activities. Apply using accurate information and only on behalf of a company you are authorised to represent. An application, email confirmation or invitation does not guarantee approval, accreditation or full access. CBN Administration validates membership and assigns the permissions of the approved plan. Collaborators use individual accounts; company administrators remain responsible for authorised assignments.

Use a personal password, protect your account and report compromise promptly. Do not share credentials, bypass access restrictions or impersonate another person. Correct outdated profile information. Publicly visible professional credentials must be truthful and must not imply a customs authorisation that you do not hold.

Plans, fees and termination

Trusted Membership is presented as free of charge. Guest, Trusted, Premium and Elite permissions are described in the platform and depend on approval. Selecting Premium or Elite is an application for that plan. It does not itself authorise a charge, create an automatic renewal or guarantee that all proposed services are available.

Payments are handled outside this platform. Before a paid service is agreed, CBN must provide the price, taxes where applicable, included services, duration, payment timing, any renewal mechanism and cancellation/refund conditions in the written offer or order. The agreed offer governs those commercial particulars. No undisclosed recurring fee or renewal is created by these general terms. Contact CBN to close or change membership; any existing paid contractual commitments are assessed under the agreed order and applicable law.

The platform does not by itself provide insurance, guaranteed payment or automatic entitlement to a mutual protection fund. Any separate protection arrangement needs its own legally valid terms before it can be relied upon.

Content, directory and confidentiality

Share only content you are authorised to provide. Keep private documents and unnecessary personal information out of directory fields and public network posts. Obtain the appropriate permission and provide information to people whose photographs or contact details you submit. CBN may display the professional content you submit to the audience of the selected feature for operating the service; you retain your rights to that content.

Private exchanges and documents must be used only for the authorised exchange. Do not scrape or resell directory data, disclose another person’s private messages, send unsolicited mass marketing, post unlawful material, infringe rights or use the platform to evade customs, sanctions or other applicable rules. Independent members are responsible for their services and further use of received information. Verify a partner’s identity and qualifications before entering a business agreement.

Risk alerts, AI and customs information

A blacklist or risk alert is a restricted information signal, not a court finding or proof of misconduct. New alerts require evidence and human review; recipients must assess accuracy, relevance and the lawful purpose of access. Report an inaccurate or disproportionate entry to CBN for correction, restriction or review. Do not publish sensitive personal data, criminal accusations or unsupported allegations.

IRIS, Sophia, Kira and Mozart are software agents, and Customs Intelligence uses AI assistance. Their drafts, news, classifications and suggestions require appropriate verification and can be incomplete or wrong. Tariff codes, duties and requirements must be checked against current official sources and by a qualified professional where needed. Platform output is not binding tariff information, an official customs decision, legal advice or a substitute for a customs declaration.

Reports, complaints and moderation

Report unlawful content, an intellectual property issue, abuse or an inaccurate risk alert to info@cbnetwork.org. Give the exact URL or content reference, explain the facts and why you believe it is unlawful, provide your name and contact email where appropriate, and confirm that the report is accurate and complete to the best of your knowledge. Privacy requests can also be made using the personal data request form.

CBN may restrict content or access where necessary to address misuse, protect affected people or comply with the law. The relevant user should receive the factual reason, scope and duration of a restriction, subject to legal or security constraints, and can ask CBN for human review. The contact above is also the platform contact point for users and authorities; correspondence can be sent in English or French.

Service responsibilities and applicable law

CBN is responsible for the obligations applicable to operating its service. It cannot guarantee that every member statement, external source or automated output is accurate, or that access is uninterrupted. A separate transaction with another member remains that parties’ responsibility. Nothing in these terms removes liability or rights that cannot lawfully be excluded, including data protection rights.

These terms are governed by Estonian law, without depriving anyone of mandatory protections or remedies that otherwise apply. These general terms do not impose an exclusive forum contrary to mandatory law. Send service complaints to the operator’s contact address and identify the relevant membership or transaction. The privacy notice explains processing and rights; accepting the terms is not consent to every processing activity or to marketing.

Material changes are communicated before they take effect. A new paid commitment requires the relevant commercial agreement. You can keep a copy of these terms using your browser’s print or save function.
